To improve my animation skills, I created a new logo animation for my Youtube videos.

Step 1: rewriting my name in Procreate, with my first name and last name on separate layers.

Step 2: Creating the write-on effect in After Effects.

Step 3: Adding the writing sound to match the animation.

Step 4: Customizing a logo reveal template that is quick and punchy as the opener of my Youtube videos.

Behind-the-scenes footage of my shoot with dancer and actress Money Azpeitia at the Nine Studios in Brooklyn. The Profoto B1 was on power 4.0 and was triggered by a Profoto AirRemote. I used the Quasar Science Q-LEDs at 3000K and 5600K for an extra colour punch from the sides. Photek Softlighter II (60") on the main light.

Before and afters on some new edits on Mark Thompson’s photos. Photos were great straight out of the camera. Edits included minor skin retouching, colour grading, contrast via curves edits and some added noise. The goal was to elevate the look and give it some punch and to keep it natural at the same time.

Henry Jenkinson, actor at the Jiulliard School, stopped by the home studio last weekend for new portraits. He shaved his face for the last set of shots to have a few more looks to choose from.
